下呂駅前の観光案内所によると鶏ちゃんを食べることが出来るお店はいくつかありましたが、温泉街中心地は人が多かったので少し離れたお店、ジーニョさんで食べることにしました。
下呂温泉の中心地から歩くこと数分で発見!!
かなり小さいお店です。なかなか入るには勇気がいる店構えです・・・(笑)
店内にはカウンター席が5つ、座敷にはテーブルが2つ(正確には一つと二つ繋げたもの)しかなくかなりこじんまりとしています。照明も少し薄暗かったです。そしてやたらブラジル推し(笑)
お店の壁にはテレビ取材を受けた際の記事などが張られており(ケンミンショーやハリセンボンさんがお店を訪れた写真)、期待が膨らみます。
私がお店に入った際には常連と思われるお客さんたちがカウンター席で楽しそうにお酒を飲んで話していました。(昼から笑)
テーブル席につくと、お店のマスターから「鶏ちゃんでいいね?」とメニュー表を開く前に確認され(笑)、とりあえずそのまま流れで注文。
待つこと10分ほどで鶏ちゃんが出てきました。
めちゃくちゃボリュームがあります。なんとごはん、みそ汁、サラダ、鶏ちゃん用焼きそば付きで900円。
少しピリリと甘辛なタレで味付けされた鶏肉は一緒に炒められたキャベツのやさしい甘さと抜群の相性でした。
どのタイミングで入れていいか分からなかった焼きそばも、マスターの指導の下、無事投入することが出来ました。(笑)
個人的に感動したのはこの焼きそばです。鶏ちゃんだけでも最高に旨いのだけど、焼きそばはもう最強。

According to the tourist information center in front of Gero station, there were some restaurants where you can eat Keichan which is Gifu prefecture's specialty, grilled chicken seasoned with miso/soy sauce.
However, since it was a bit crowded in the center of the hot spring resort, we decided to go to this store located a bit away from there.
It took about 5min.walk from the main street.
This restaurant is relatively small. Because of its unique appearance, we were hesitating to enter at first. Hahaha.
There were only 5 seats at the counter and 2 tables (To be exact, one and two connected tables) on the tatami space, so it's not roomy at all. The lighting was also a bit dim. There were a lot of interiors and goods themed Brazil.
Some articles about TV interviews of this store were posted on the wall. It reassured us somehow. Haha.
When we used this store, customers who seemed to be regulars were having fun with alcohol at the counter seats.
When we got to the table, the owner asked us "You gonna order Keichan, don't you?" , and we just simply said "yes." It was before opening the menu.
After waiting for about 10 minutes, Keichan was served.
It was really huge. The price was just 900 yen with rice, miso soup, salad, and fried noodles for Keichan.
The chicken seasoned with a slightly spicy sauce was a perfect match with the gentle sweetness of the fried cabbage.
Under the nice instruction by the owner, we were able to safely add noodles, which I didn't know when to add it.
The Keichan with noodles was really amazing!!
