Great place to stay! Friendliest service, the BEST coffee in Tokyo, cozy rooms and comfy beds. Can’t ask for more. It’s located in a beautiful neighbourhood which is really quiet of a night time but right around the corner is a bustling little town full of fun bars, great food. Trains are 300m up the road which is so handy. Had such a lovely time here thanks so much to the staff who always greeted us with a smile when we came in. Felt like a home away from home.

Place is quiet. Despite being right by the train line, you can only just hear it in the distance, and you get no traffic noise.

Rooms are simple but comfortable. They are quite small but were big enough for two of us with plenty of luggage. The record player in the room is a cute touch, and vinyl can be rented.

Location isn’t bad but it is a little out of the main area of Shimokitazawa - about a 10min walk to the train station. However, the neighbourhood around the hotel is really pretty and nice to walk around so we didn’t mind.

ただし シャワーだけで湯槽が無いため
ゆっくりできなくトイレまで濡れた ダブルの部屋だったか椅子が一脚しかなかった ベッドが高く自分たち短足には少し使い辛いアメニティは揃っていたが お茶やコーヒーくらいは置いていてほしかった エアコンは暖房できない？(冷房表示はある) スタッフの対応は良かったと思えます

Simple lovely quiet clean hotel with very helpful staff that went out of their way to help. Oh yes great coffee ... fantastic location, away from the skyscrapers, but close enough to take the train the station is also very near. The area 5 minutes walk away was my favorite location.. old style Tokyo, fun and interesting. I will be returning to this place as soon as I can. Alexandra

We stayed at Mustard Hotel in Shimokitazawa in Late January. It was cool outside but the coffee shop and lobby was bustling with action and activity. The taxi took me to a street and said i had to walk down the street that didn’t allow cars. It was fantastically quiet and festive. People were rollerblading and walking together. I checked in and they had my reservation all set. My room was on the second floor off the elevator. It was clean and efficient and had a record player in it. It also had sleeping ware. The bathroom was small but perfect for one or two people and the best toilet i have experienced. The service was terrific. I had a reservation at a restaurant and Bill the Manager confirmed all the details. I used my Google translate which was a help but the staff spoke some English. When my crew arrived a few days later the Hotel was ready for them and all their rooms were ideal as well. Great Price, Great service great location!

Good value and a great location for exploring Shimokitazawa's amazing vibes and vintage stores. After staying in Akasaka for the first leg of our trip and then coming here after Kyoto for our final few days before heading home, it was nice to be in a calmer Tokyo neighborhood that still had access to the east side of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, etc.).||The rooms are super sparse and we read reviews so were aware of that going in. Rooms are nothing special and do feel a little claustrophobic tbh--but since it was only a few nights we were ok with it. The free breakfast and amazing coffee area in the lobby was the highlight and it was really nice to enjoy breakfast on the sunny patio that was vibrant and had great people watching. ||Also loved that the hotel offered discounts at some great small businesses nearby so we did a ton of fun shopping for unique gifts.||Staff was friendly and helpful.

Loved the hotel! Perfect location to explore the western part of central Tokyo, and is located close to metro lines bound for Shinjuku and Shibuya. The neighborhood is calm and cozy and offers several restaurants and cafés and can easily be explored by foot or using the hotels rental bikes.

Very quiet location in a pedestrian zone within a preferred neighborhood in Tokio. Taxi can wait only 100 meters away. There is a sunny wooden terrace with cafe and a good coffee and snacks. The staff was very helpful to make our stay perfect. You may try the records from the library in the lobby ?
