Me and my wife visited this 150 year old quaint little cottage, in the heart of Tokorozawa about a week ago and we just fell in love, not only with the place but the hosts as well! While this property is more than a century old, it has been upgraded with all essential amenities that one may find at a modern day hotel! However, the look and feel has still been well-preserved and the place is still reminiscent of the Edo era! My first impression of the place was akin to the Kitain Temple in Kawagoe which had a very similar interior as well!||||Furnishing too resonates with Japanese minimalism and expect wide open spaces and narrow walk ways to navigate through the building. This was also my first time seeing a traditional Japanese bath with a furnace based water heating system (a modern water heating system is already available!). Furthermore, the Kitchen was very well equipped with all possible modern amenities and a large table that can seat 8-10 people comfortably.||||The place is part of the old town but in proximity to all modern civic facilities. There is a super market at 5-10 mins walk and the subway is also about 15 mins walk from the facility. ||||All in all, this place is a must visit for anyone interested in experiencing Japanese culture and hospitality! I would highly recommend and perhaps visit again and again whenever I travel to Japan!
