Love the studio type room. Bed was comfy. Hotel surroundings is peaceful hidden from the buzz of the city. Just 5 mins walk from Yutenji Station. Great location generally. Lawson, 7-Eleven, supermarket, pharmacy, clinic and restaurants are all within 200m radius. Even McDonald’s and Starbucks which I only found out on our last day. ? Recommended just because of the location.

Was bracing myself after reading all the reviews here, and it turned out to be better than good. The service is professional, informative and orderly. Arrived a bit early and cooled off in the small lobby where they had a coffee machine to make hot or iced drinks. Small amenities station next to the elevator. ||After check-in, I opened the door to reveal a cute and cozy place that was bright. When you enter, there is a washing machine, large kitchen sink, small cupboard with two sets of dishes, induction stove, microwave, mini-fridge and electric kettle. Didn't use any of the major appliances. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable, with a comforter, top sheet and 4 assorted pillows. The receptionist explained that there is limited cleaning and you navigate this using the magnetic hotel door signs. If you do have a longer stay, room cleaning has a small fee as listed on the faded hotel folders. ||Liked that there were a ton of electrical outlets in logical places. There is a small wood table to set up your laptop or have some simple meals, a corner couch and a stool opposite. Wifi was stable and lighting was bright. ||Judging from the bathroom, this was probably built in the 70s and yeah, you can look for mold and other imperfections like carpet stains, but it's forgivable, because the room was very clean otherwise. The balcony was small enough to just stand and you can see the city lights from the 6th floor. Did hear a kid throwing a mid-day tantrum and it echoed down the hall.||Stayed for two nights and would consider staying here again because of the local neighborhood and walkable areas with a good amount of modern shops and restaurants. It's peaceful. You could also walk along the train line toward Naka-Meguro station, another great local neighborhood. Lobby doors are accessed with your key card. Yutenji Temple has picnic tables, a children's playground and is about a 10 -minute walk. The subway is about a 3-minute walk and easy to transfer to the Narita Express when you depart. ||If it's your first time to Japan, this might feel far from the Shibuya Scramble action. However, it seemed to be good value for the time I booked.

I think I stayed about 5 years ago, but I had such a good memory at that time that I made a reservation.I checked in and went into the room, but I didn't know what to say when I saw potato chip crumbs under the table.I saw it later on the day I checked out, but there was a lot of dust on the walls... The facility itself is good (the concept of a residence?), but I don't think it's well maintained. The carpet in the room is also very stained...It's a place I cherished, but I was so disappointed this time.I don't think the price is that cheap either.

Rooms are small. The laundry takes a few rounds to dry and even then…. Otherwise, the location seriously makes up for it. Worth.

Love this hotel! The location is great, very close to the station. There’s a really nice grocery store in the station if you need to grab any food. The room comes with a small fridge, microwave, and hot plate. There’s also a washing machine/dryer combo but we found the dryer not drying well enough so we used a coin laundry right around the corner from the hotel. The bed is very comfy and the location is very quiet. There is free coffee downstairs but we never tried it. There are many food options and conbinis within walking distance. A great place to come back to after a long day sightseeing.

It's a 3 star hotel in quite area in Tokyo, close to Shibuya. If you have dust allergies, stay away from this hotel. The room has dust on every surface except the bed and floor. I welcome that the hotel doesn't offer daily cleaning but they do need to do deep cleaning more frequently and clean the air filters.

I just had a wonderful 10-day stay at Tokyu Stay Meguro Yutenji. It is first and foremost perfectly situated in the heart of Tokyo, in very close proximity to the Tokoyo line (4 minutes from the Yutenji station), which is central to so many great museums, shrines, and landmarks, but also located near really special restaurants, shops, markets, and bakeries. My morning ritual began with fresh coffee at 7 am in the lobby waking up to classical music and staying cool from the heat outside (August stay), studying a little Japanese with the hotel's charming collection of children's books, and reading the local headlines with Google lens. The front desk and staff were extremely friendly and helpful in English when I couldn't get by with my paltry greetings in Japanese. The room, itself, was spacious by Japanese standards - large bedroom and extremely comfortable mattress, great lighting, huge bathroom and tub, with all the amenities (soaps, kitchen supplies, shoehorn, etc). and nice appliances (hair dryer, press for ironing clothes). I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank You! :0)
