Atmosphere and staff are wonderful. They have counter seating facing the lake but it was a bit windy to hold a conversation if you have more than two people in your group.

Be sure to walk down to the beach to see the ducks. It seems like you can feed the ducks, as we saw people getting food from the restaurant staff. Though the ducks were easily distracted by the staff and didn't eat a lot of the food being fed.

Desert was great. Salad and curry could have been better (hence 4*). The coffee was nice and strong.

Beautiful place with the most amazing view on the lake embedded in a picturesque landscape. The food is nothing special compared to Japanese standards, but the the atmosphere is the reason I can highly recommended this place

Amazing views and a great place for a meal. If you sit out on the terrace, you get views of Lake Biwa and ducks. The only thing is if you don't like insects, you might be put off by the large flying ones hanging around outside. For an adult ordering a lunch set that comes with a salad and drink, it costs 1400 yen. The food was delicious. You get free condiments: tobasco sauce and grated parmesan cheese. There are water coolers where you can fill up your glass. They have an English menu.

I didn't have a car so I walked here. The scenery is to die for, the most picturesque spot and shop imaginable. The service and the food was ok, didn't blow me away, but the beauty alone made up for that and makes the place a must visit. There's also ducks down on the beach that were quite charming.

Best location to have a cuppa! Unfortunately it was snowing when we visited. The quality food was a bit low but overall they have a style. I loved the fireplace but wanna come back in spring or summer.

My best cafe at lake side. You can eat / drink coffee with super nice view. You can walk around and can see some some ducks. It’s difficult to go without car.

Beautiful view of Lake Biwa, delicious hot sandwiches (according to friends, the curry is good but the pasta is just “normal”). Matcha au lait and Almond au lait were very good.
