The limited edition hydrangea pancakes (June only) were incredible, so beautifully presented and very tasty. The hydrangea sodas were tasty and the color changing syrups were clever. The drinks took a long time to come out even though the waitress said they’d come at the same time as our pancakes, so we waited an awkward amount of time to start eating so we could get a pic of everything. Also, the pancakes were way too much for one person - we were both overwhelmed by the sweetness and couldn’t finish it, so we wish we’d ordered just one to share. However the rest of the food looked great too and I’d love to go back, especially for any other seasonal items.

Ordered their signature pancake, with strawberry and whipped cream, but the whipped cream is way too sweet, and it’s not airy as other Japanese pancakes places. Pancake is dense, not as fluffy as I expected, I’d say this place is overhyped, not worth the long wait.

The vibe of this cafe was cozy and the employees provided excellent service, but I was a bit disappointed with the food. While the meals did look aesthetically pleasing, I felt like their taste fell short—the pancakes weren’t soft or warm at all and the ratio of ice cream/cream to the pancakes and bananas were quite unbalanced. Also, the prices for these pancakes (1700+ yen) didn’t feel worth it in my opinion.

Had the seasonal strawberry pancake from the menu. Plenty of strawberries, sweet and delicious with barely any tartness. Very balanced and goes well with the pancake and cream so there was no flavour fatigue. Wait time for the pancake was reasonable, considering the pancake was made to order and the amount of effort put into the presentation.

After lining up 15 minutes before open, I was worried about getting a seat. Little did I know this space spans across at least 3 floors! Coffee was nothing special. Ordered the limited choco mint pancake. I consider myself a big eater but be warned, these can easily be shared amongst 2 maybe 3 people. The pancake is not light and fluffy. It’s thick and dense almost like a brownie and will fill up that belly fast.

I am a very very picky person and as Italian I give extreme importance to quality of food and service. That was my best pancake in Japan! I don’t understand the bad reviews to me, they have to be updated as they do not reflect the truth. It is worth the trip to Ebisu. Good job guys!

Located a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station.
It's a bit of a walk, but you'll pass through a quiet residential area, so it's the perfect distance to chat with a friend or that someone you're interested in.

Seasonal Happiness Series "Sakura Pancake

The pancake was very tasty with a firm matcha batter. It has a strong matcha flavor.
When you put a knife into the pancake, you will find a rich matcha sauce made from Japanese matcha green tea! I highly recommend it if you want to try Japanese-style pancakes!

Price
The price for two people to have an omelette, two pancakes, and a drink was about 7,000 yen. It is just the right amount of money.

Such a cute neighborhood place with amazing pancakes, open very late. After having the spring pancakes in March, I came back again (from America) in October to have the Halloween ones. The afternoon tea is so much food! the price is so good too, and the service is fast. extremely cute and cozy and comfortable inside. workers are extremely kind and make sure to explain when certain dishes take a while to prepare, since it's mostly made to order. it's worth the wait!
TOURISTS PLEASE NOTE: this is a locals place, so they may not be comfortable with English or have an English menu. i don't recommend going unless you can speak enough Japanese (and/or use a translator) to order and read the menu, which has lots of pictures and is mostly in katakana. it's rude to assume that japanese people are okay with english and you should try not to put them in uncomfortable situations. the staff are very nice and patient even if your japanese is bad.
