Pleasantly surprised for what I get for the price. I come here with my family with 3 children and have a lot of good things to say about it.
- One concern I had booking accomodation was noise at night. This neighbourhood is very quiet with maybe you could hear tiny bit of emergency vehicle noise at night, if any. Check for me since I was looking for a quieter place at night.
- Super close to train station. It's also a residential neighborhood so it's very walkable too.
- Only 4 stations away from Skytree, so if you are in Tokyo and a bit tired on your first day and don't want to go far, Skytree can easily be a great first stop for your trip.
- Neighborhood has 7-11, Family Mart, York Food, and Ito-Yokado easily accessible by walking, so if you want to get some snack or want to cook a meal, it's super easy to get done.
- Kiki House 2 is not large by any means but has everything equipped. You want to cook? You have it. You are a larger group like mine with 3 adults and 3 children? You have the beds you need. You need to wash clothes? Washer is available.
- If you are a Captain Tsubasa fan, this is actually the Captain Tsubasa neighborhood. Yotsugi is the neighborhood next door and that is the hometown of Captain Tsubasa.
Only con is the unit is not equipped with dryer, so you would need to hang clothes. However if you wanted there is actually a coin laundromat equipped with washer and dryer just about a minute walk, so that can always be an option (you can group one big batch of clothes and just do one round of wash and dry).
All in all if you don't want to pay too much for accomdation or don't want to live right in the busy part of the city that is loud as f at night (or both), Kiki House 2 offers the peace you need but not compromising the convenience. This is my first time to Tokyo but I will definitely book again when I come back again.
