Absolutely loved staying here - The host, Makoto, created a great environment for meeting people. He's also incredibly responsive if you need anything!
Location was great too - a quaint neighbourhood with a station about 10 minutes away, a coin laundry 2 minutes away, and a supermarket 5 minutes away.
The rooms are a biiiit tight, but all the amenities are there. Everything was impeccably clean.
If and when I come back to Tokyo, I'll definitely be staying here again!

Best guesthouse I have stayed in a long time! Makoto is such a great host, and Guillaume is such a chill and helpful guy I made good friends with over my 3 week stay, I could’ve happily stayed more. Beds are comfy, communal facilities excellent and the place is spotlessly clean, Makoto has high standards! Met some amazing humans here and will forever remember my time. Thank you everyone for being awesome 🙂

The best guesthouse in Japan. Comfy beds, clean and a great common area to hang out and meet people. Met the most wonderful souls here that made my trip to Tokyo so much more fun.

Makoto is amazing. I came back to the guesthouse for my birthday and he organised a party for me!
He also does welcome drinks for new guests.

The area is a calm neighbourhood with a lot of good dining options nearby. You can take a train from here to anywhere in Tokyo.

If you want to visit Tokyo and want a social and clean space that feels like home, look no further than Makoto Guesthouse!

Wonderful place to meet nice people, and has cozy beds to rest. Nearby a train station which can take you anywhere in the city, but also the local neighborhood here is charming and has good dining options. Makoto is a fun host. I recommend staying here, and hope to be back again!

Booked this place for mine and sisters stay in Tokyo for 3 nights after coming from Hokkaido, we were going to arrive 1 hr late in Tokyo so we asked if it was ok. They said No, 'you best go find another place' ok, then we will check in the morning. We had to find another hotel that night but then the next morning when I said we were on our way, they cancelled our booking, all 3 nights and when I asked them to refund me they ignored me. Very rude people and a bunch of thieves, one of worse service experiences IV ever had. don't book this place.

A social and very clean guesthouse that hides in a quiet neighborhood. I have met quite a handful of fun people that have made my visit in Tokyo even better. The hostel is tugged in a quiet neighborhood yet you can take on the train into the heart of the city without changing trains. The owner MAKOTO is exceptionally nice and kind and gives out pointers for me to explore around the area. Would def be back to stay at this place!

Très bonne, excellente, parfaite, tant de mots pour décrire cette guesthouse. Je n’ai pas les mots pour décrire à quel point mon séjour a été formidable dans cette guesthouse.

L’host qui m’a accueilli se nomme Makoto et est très gentil. Les lits sont très confortables, il y a assez de sanitaires et pour ma part je n’ai jamais eu à attendre pour prendre ma douche. Il y a aussi une salle commune qui vous permet de manger mais aussi de discuter avec les autres invités (guest).

Endroit toujours propres. L’emplacement et le voisinage sont également très calmes. Il y a plusieurs convenient stores à moins de 5 minutes de marche (j’ai même pu acheter un shonen Jump un dimanche soir alors qu’ils sortent le lundi de mémoire). Il y a également un supermarché à environ 4 minutes de marche.

Par ailleurs, un grand merci également aux autres invités (guest) que j’ai pu rencontrer et avec qui j’ai passé de très bons moments.

Il y a également une laverie à 30 secondes (oui moins de 1 minute vous ne rêvez, mais elle ferme à 22h00 de mémoire mais c’est largement suffisant) pas à pieds avec séchoir.
